Catherine Cartwright selected for residency at the The National Memorial Arboretum, July 2018
Congratulations to Catherine Cartwright who has been selected for a residency at The National Memorial Arboretum.
The National Memorial Arboretum invited applications from artists who wish to develop their practice by working with the site’s collections, landscape and knowledge.
The 2018 residency programme forms part of the Arboretum’s commemorations of the centenary of the Armistice and will respond to the theme of ‘Peace and Reconciliation.’
Each artist in residence will produce a piece of original work in response to these themes to be exhibited as part of centenary commemorations at the site.
The residency will take place between July and November 2018 culminating in an exhibition between November 2018 and March 2019. In return, each artist will receive a fee of £2500, and access to knowledge, guidance and resources at the Arboretum.
