The Masters – Etching
DEADLINE: Monday 12 September, midnight
The Masters is a series of annual exhibitions established by the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers focusing on a particular branch of printmaking.
Selected works will be exhibited at Bankside Gallery, 48 Hopton Street, London SE1 9JH (next door to Tate Modern) from 9-20 November 2016.
This year’s exhibition will be curated by Norman Ackroyd RA RE and will be devoted to works that employ any intaglio printmaking techniques.
This includes: etchings, engravings (not wood engravings), drypoint, aquatint and mezzotint. Any print that has intaglio printmaking as its primary medium is eligible.
Art Angels Prize – £250 plus the possibility of the image being published on an Arts Angels greetings card.
Fenner Paper Prize – £250 worth of paper.
Intaglio Printmakers Prize – £100 worth of materials.
John Purcell Prize – £150 worth of paper
Lawrence’s Printmakers Prize – £100 worth of materials
Great Art Prize – £150 worth of materials from Great Art.
Red Hot Press Prize – free studio membership 2017; invitations to take part in their exhibitions.
The Eames Fine Art Prize – £250
Selection will be made from digital submissions with an entry fee of £12.00 per entry (£8.00 for students).
