As the Crow Flies – MAMDP exhibition January 2016

An exhibition of new work by full-time MA students: Daisy Ley, Océane Pouélé, Kar Mern Tan, Steve Tarry, Akanksha Vikash Chhajer, Anaya Zazubovits is on show at The Island, Bristol from 18th – 23rd January 2016.

‘As the Crow Flies’ is a reflection on past, present and future. A group of UWE MA Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking students have produced work in response to this theme, focusing on how self and place has affected how they have come to be here creatively. They are interested in what brought them to where they are now; as a collective in Bristol with a wide variety of backgrounds and environments and the possibilities these aspects may bring to their impact on the art world. “Home is behind you, the world ahead.” (J.R.R. Tolkien)

Private view Monday 18th January 5pm – 8pm, all welcome.
