’16 Days of Action’ Catherine Cartwright

Exhibition: ’16 Days of Action’
25 Nov-10 Dec 2015

Catherine Cartwright is showing her prints in the same space as Paula Rego. Rego’s prints will be four big (about 1 x 1 m) etchings from her series on FGM. Catherine’s work is an exploration of being held; visibly-invisibly, delicately-secure. These are drypoints and monoprints.

The opening is Tuesday 24 Nov from 6-7 all welcome!
There are various other events that Catherine has organised again, open to all and all very welcome. Especially these two which promise to be really interesting:
Tues 8 Dec 12.30-1.30 – Arts and Human Rights – an informal lunchtime discussion
Wed 9 Dec 6.30-8 – The Invisible Cage – a panel discussion on the hidden harm of domestic abuse. The panel members are Dr Marianne Hester (University of Bristol), Dr Charlotte Bishop (University of Exeter) and DCI Ben Beckerleg (Devon and Cornwall Police).
